
Q: How many fruit flies are in your work Pineapple?
A: Thousands. It took nearly eighty hours to collage them all.
Q: Is the artwork for sale?
A: Yes. Most of the art is for sale (prices range from $300-$1,000). Some of the editioned prints can be purchased without mats or frames. If you are interested in a particular piece, please contact me for specific information.
Q: Are you available for commissioned artwork?
A: Yes. I am willing to negotiate commissioned works of art. I have previously completed portraits, paintings and prints for individuals. I would like the challenge of a public work of art. Please contact me if you are interested in discussing a project.
Q: Are you teaching?
A: After leaving a tenured position at Chadron State College in the Nebraskan panhandle, I moved to Honolulu, Hawai’i. I am currently an instructor at Windward Community College and the Honolulu Academy of Arts center.
Q: Which artist do you admire?
A: I am interested in art history. I admire: Marcel Duchamp, Max Ernst, Andy Warhol, Jimmy Durham, Andy Goldsworthy, Tom Friedman and many others. I am also equally interested in Paleolithic artifacts and the collections of natural history museums. Please see the thoughts pages for more information about my inspirations and concepts.
